Thunderbird Stocker This Ford Stock Car was introduced in 1984 and was designed by Larry Wood. The initial release resembles the Ford Thunderbird driven by Buddy Baker in the NASCAR Winston Cup series.
The body and base are both metal. The car was renamed 'Thunderburner' in 1987 and has also been released under the name 'Velocitor'. A base change from 1 post (rivet) to 2 posts occurred after 1990. On some of the Thunderburners there is no casting name on the base. Some of the Thunderburner bases and all Velocitor bases are stamped THUNDER BURNER. This casting was retooled in 2013. |
